Youth empowerment is an essential pillar of the Striving for Good Governance Project along with the civil society strengthening. Therefore, youth will be supported by internship programs, participation in international conferences, peer-to-peer exchange, video conferences for Dutch-Turkish Youth and Mentoring. Through these activities, the interaction of youth with their peers around the globe and with various institutions will be facilitated.
Peer to peer exchange
Participation at International Conference
In internship programs, youth will gain experience in selected civil society organisations in Turkey. They will be given a choice of organisations to complete their internships.
International conferences are exciting platforms for youth to meet different people from all over the world, to build an international network of interesting individuals, to learn new ideas and current trends, to enhance their leadership skills and to simply have a good time. Turkish youth are not commonly active in international conferences such as those of the United Nations. The project will provide information on how to apply and to be more engaged in numerous international conferences where international youth are actively involved.
Video conferences for Dutch-Turkish Youth will provide an opportunity for exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences and may pave a way for future collaboration.
Lastly, mentoring will facilitate the engagement of youth in civil society and encourage intergenerational dialogue.
