Two separate three daylong training programs will be organized for the young members of society to equip them with skills and knowledge as potential future leaders in civil society.
Young Leaders Training Program on Sustainable Development and Democracy will bring youth together to develop knowledge, share expertise and to get experienced in a peer-to-peer work. This training will set the scene to encourage youth to actively participate in international conferences.
Conflict Resolution and Consensus- It is commonly known that in areas of conflict, parties may end up with hostility and mistrust jeopardizing most constructive consensus-building efforts. Consensus building is thus an essential skill useful for each and every citizen. It is of critical importance for Civil Society Organizations as they are in the position to do advocacy work at the policy level where they also need to develop public awareness and to build dialogue with decision makers. To establish effective working relations between different parties in situations of conflict, namely non-state and state actors, knowledge of intermediation and ability of consensus building is critical.
In a 3 days training, young leaders holding positions at CSOs will be trained to improve their skills to undertake a more effective role in conflictual issues and situations. Role-playing, debates and lectures will be used as teaching methods to combine theory and practice for youth to make the participants ready for real-life.
